The Weeknd (Abel Tesfaye) is one of the most pressed artists of the streaming era. Between 2011 and 2025 he built a run of seven studio albums, a mixtape box set, and one EP, every one of which is available on vinyl, most with multiple color variants. In January 2025 he released Hurry Up Tomorrow and announced it would be his last album under the The Weeknd name. That makes 2025 onward a transition point for his catalog, and a natural moment for collectors to think about what to chase on wax.
This guide walks every The Weeknd vinyl release in order, with label, year, format, notable variants, and what each pressing says about the era. Trilogy sets the dark R and B tone. After Hours is the pop breakthrough. Dawn FM is the most ambitious production. Hurry Up Tomorrow is the closing statement. All of them are worth a turntable.
Trilogy (Mixtapes, 2011 to 2012)
Trilogy (6LP Box Set)
Trilogy compiles The Weeknd's 2011 to 2012 mixtape run. House of Balloons, Thursday, and Echoes of Silence were originally self-released as free digital downloads. The Trilogy vinyl box came out in late 2015 via XO and Republic, pressing the three mixtapes on six LPs with the full sequencing intact.
This is the foundational Weeknd. Alternative R and B, gothic production, Abel singing about parties he is starting to hate. Trilogy is the record that made him. The vinyl compilation is the most complete way to hear that era.
Later: Limited colored pressings have surfaced in reissue runs
Hunt for: The original 2015 pressing with the full book intact
Kiss Land (2013)
Kiss Land
Kiss Land is Abel's first proper studio album, released on XO and Republic in September 2013. More textured than the mixtapes, still firmly in dark R and B territory. Features include Drake on an earlier version of the material, and the record got mixed reviews at release but has aged into a cult favorite.
The vinyl is a 2LP. Original 2013 pressings are the target for collectors. Reissues followed, and the catalog is in print, but first pressings carry cachet for deep fans.
Variants: Limited colored pressings in reissue cycles
Hunt for: 2013 first pressing, sealed if possible
Beauty Behind the Madness (2015)
Beauty Behind the Madness
The breakthrough. "Can't Feel My Face" and "The Hills" put The Weeknd at the top of the Billboard charts. The album won a Grammy for Best Urban Contemporary Album. Beauty Behind the Madness is the record where the artistic project and mainstream pop fused, and the vinyl reflects that moment.
A 2LP that Republic has kept in print. Standard black is the most available. Several color variants, picture discs, and reissues have followed over the years.
Variants: Picture disc 2LP, retailer-exclusive color pressings
Hunt for: Original 2015 black 2LP with matte sleeve

Record Store DirectoryStarboy (2016)
Starboy
Starboy pushed further into pop territory, with Daft Punk producing two tracks including the title cut and "I Feel It Coming." The album won the Grammy for Best Urban Contemporary Album, made it to number one on the Billboard 200, and cemented Abel as a global pop star.
The 2LP vinyl has been pressed multiple times. The original 2016 black pressing is the foundation. Several color variants have been released at retail over the years, including clear and smoky variants through Urban Outfitters.
Variants: Clear, smoky, and translucent retailer exclusives
Hunt for: 2016 first pressing with Daft Punk credits on the sleeve
My Dear Melancholy (2018 EP)
My Dear Melancholy,
The short, stripped-back breakup record. Six tracks, about 22 minutes, released with minimal promotion and widely read as a post-relationship dispatch. It is the shortest entry in the discography and the most emotionally direct.
The vinyl is a single LP. Republic issued a standard black pressing and, later, Record Store Day and retail-exclusive color variants. The runs are short, making any color edition a collector target.
Variants: Clear, red, and limited color editions
Hunt for: Sealed color variants, any year
After Hours (2020)
After Hours
The record. "Blinding Lights" became the longest-charting Billboard Hot 100 song in history. "Save Your Tears," "Heartless," and the album's 80s-inflected synth production launched Abel into a different commercial stratosphere. After Hours is the most-variant Weeknd album on the collector market.
The original 2LP came out March 2020 in standard black, followed by a steady rollout of color variants through retailers. The blood red splatter via Spotify Fans First is the signature collector variant. Urban Outfitters did neon pink. Target did a clear edition. A picture disc followed. Deluxe and remix editions pressed later.
Color variants: Blood red splatter (Spotify), neon pink (Urban Outfitters), clear (Target), picture disc
Expanded: Deluxe 2LP with bonus tracks, Remix 2LP
Hunt for: Blood red splatter Spotify Fans First edition, sealed
Dawn FM (2022)
Dawn FM
Dawn FM is the concept album of the catalog. Produced with Max Martin and Oneohtrix Point Never (Daniel Lopatin), it is framed as a radio station broadcasting to listeners in a kind of purgatory. Jim Carrey narrates interstitials. "Out of Time" samples Tomoko Aran's city pop classic "Midnight Pretenders." The whole record plays like a cinematic sequence.
The 2LP pressings have been among the best-looking of the catalog. Standard black, Spotify Fans First silver/clear, Urban Outfitters blood orange, and additional retailer variants. Collectors pay close attention to Dawn FM editions because the pressings tend to be finite and move fast.
Color variants: Spotify Fans First silver/clear, Urban Outfitters blood orange, alternate retailer exclusives
Hunt for: Silver Spotify Fans First, sealed
Hurry Up Tomorrow (2025)
Hurry Up Tomorrow
The final album under the The Weeknd name. Released at the end of January 2025 alongside a film of the same name, Hurry Up Tomorrow closes the trilogy that began with After Hours. Abel has said this is the ending, and going forward new music will come under his real name.
Because it is a stated capstone, Hurry Up Tomorrow pressings were released with multiple color variants at launch. Expect the standard 2LP black alongside clear, red, blue, and retailer-exclusive color editions. Given the finality of the project, first pressings will carry significance over time.
Color variants: Clear, red, blue, and retailer-exclusive editions released at launch
Hunt for: Any first pressing, sealed. This is the closing chapter.
How to Collect the Era
A practical collector plan
Start with the pop breakthrough. Beauty Behind the Madness and Starboy are the most available and the most-played entry points.
Chase one After Hours variant. The blood red Spotify edition is the signature pick. If it is out of reach, the Urban Outfitters neon pink is the next best visual.
Do not sleep on Dawn FM. The concept album pressings are running out. The silver Spotify edition is the collector favorite.
Own Trilogy eventually. The box set is the only way to hear the mixtapes on wax, and it is the origin of everything.
Buy Hurry Up Tomorrow now. Closing-statement records tend to appreciate. First pressings will matter.
Outside the XO and Republic catalog, a handful of collaborations exist on vinyl: "Pray For Me" with Kendrick Lamar on the Black Panther soundtrack, features on Future and 21 Savage records, and scattered guest spots. These are deep-cut additions for completists rather than core collection pieces.
For pressing details, variant runs, and current market pricing, the Weeknd Discogs page is the most complete reference. Shop new pressings at any independent record store or at specialty retailers like Turntable Lab. The XO merch store occasionally drops vinyl directly via theweeknd.com.
